Every licence bought on chairtax.app comes with the challenge. Do 100 camera-counted reps on 16 of your first 30 days, and we refund the $29. You keep Chairtax.

The terms

  1. Where. The challenge comes with every licence bought on chairtax.app. There is nothing to sign up for. Mac App Store purchases do not qualify.
  2. When it starts. The 30 days start the first time you enter your key, and no later than 14 days after purchase.
  3. What a day is. A day is a calendar day where you are, midnight to midnight, including weekends. The day you enter your key is day 1.
  4. What counts. Reps the camera counts, in any break, whether or not the break finishes. Any camera movement counts. Lines of the typed phrase do not count.
  5. Meeting it. A day counts when it has 100 or more camera-counted reps. You meet the challenge when 16 of the 30 days count. They do not have to be in a row.
  6. Several Macs. If you use Chairtax on more than one Mac, send the code from each Mac you used. We add up each day's reps across them.
  7. Claiming. Email support@chairtax.app with your Paddle order number and the code from each Mac you used (Show challenge code… in the menu bar or Settings), within 14 days after your 30 days end. Claims are checked against the purchase date and the log.
  8. The refund. We refund the $29 through Paddle to your original payment method. One refund per purchase. You keep Chairtax, and your key keeps working.
  9. Video calls. Breaks wait while another app is using the camera or microphone.

What the code holds. Chairtax makes the code on your Mac from its own log of your breaks. It holds:

  • your licence email and the licence's issue date;
  • the day your 30 days started, and your time zone;
  • the reps and the camera breaks counted on each day;
  • the date the code was made;
  • a random id for this install;
  • a check value computed over your break log;
  • a count of clock changes seen;
  • the app version.

Chairtax sends nothing to us during the 30 days, so the code is how we see your log.

How to claim, step by step

  1. Click the chair in the menu bar, or open Settings, and choose Show challenge code….
  2. Copy the code.
  3. Email support@chairtax.app with the code and your Paddle order number, which is on your receipt. If you used more than one Mac, add the code from each.
  4. Send it within 14 days after your 30 days end. We check it and refund the $29 through Paddle.

Other refunds

Outside the challenge, refunds follow Paddle's refund policy and the rights consumer law gives you where you live. If Chairtax does not work on your Mac, write to support@chairtax.app. For a Mac App Store purchase, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
